I have just had an interesting couple of days so I thought I would share. Apparently I was missing. Let me explain. Monday evening I became extremely sick after eating at "the shacks". A little stomach ache and a few trips to the bathroom (appropriately referred to as a "shack attack") is normal, but what I had was something else entirely. I began vomiting at around 9PM and didn't really stop until morning. At around 2AM, after dry heaving for a few hours, I decided to call my mother. I am still not sure if I called her out of habit, for sympathy, or because I thought I was dying. At around 5AM I passed out on a bench on campus outside the bathroom and woke up covered in a mosquito blanket. I dragged myself home for a few precious hours of sleep. In the past I have had academic problems resulting from my constantly getting sick and I refuse to let that happen here so I was determined to attend my classes and lab. Apparently, my mother called me back in the morning before I went to school and in my delirium I said I would take a shower and go to the health clinic on campus. Instead I took a shower and went right to school. When my mother couldn't reach me she decided I had passed out in the shower and was dying alone in my apartment. She called security on campus and the search for the missing girl began. The troops mobilized and began interrupting classes and labs searching for Marisa Evans because "her mom is extremely worried about her." If I wasn't already infamous as being "the girl who falls" I am certainly well known now for being the missing child. Thanks mom. I realize this can be avoided in the future by calling my mother and letting her know I am OK. I guess I was just a little busy with MEDSCHOOL! Now that I am found, I hope they can take down the missing child posters, they are a little embarrassing. Love to the fam!
